Polkowice are a very modern commune, putting considerable emphasis on constant development and improvement of the comfort of living of its inhabitants and visitors. The commune's authorities keep looking for new investors, sparing no effort to facilitate their development. Polkowice are famous for copper extraction by KGHM "Polska Miedź" S.A., which has been the driving force behind the region's development for a long period of time.
This subzone of LSEZ with the presence of such concerns as Volkswagen, Sitech, CCC, Royal Europa and Sanden is an important alternative at the local labour market. The vicinity of the main route leading from the north to the south, i.e. the European route E65 (planned expressway S3), in conjunction with the possibility to take advantage of rail transport boost the area's attractiveness.
The existing Subzone of Polkowice has been expanded to another 34.2014 ha of investment lands reaching a total area of over 119 ha.
The new sites are located adjacent to Sitech and Sanden Manufacturing Poland companies, by an internal road (Fabryczna street) servicing this part of the Subzone. The whole area is located in a distance of 500 m from the E65 international route (Świnoujście - Lubawka).

The new sites are designed for industry in a local zoning plan (Resolution of the Town Council in Polkowice No. XXV/307/05 as of 23 March 2005, published in the Official Journal of the Lower Silesia Province No. 96 item 2104 on 31 May 2005).
Investment sites may be merged together or divided in a free manner according to investors' requirements, limited only by the sites situation towards the access road. They constitute the property of the Town of Polkowice.
Complex of 10.53 ha is located by a projected internal road, which is going to connect the Subzone with a poviat road running to Chocianów. The construction deadline expires in 2013, however the works can be advanced in case of interest in the location expressed by potential investors. Designing works have already been concluded.
