On 27-28 January 2010 in the Sitech company's headquarters in Wolfsburg held a meeting of representatives of the Legnica Special Economic Zone and the mayor of Polkowice - Wieslaw Wabik. Sitech were represented by: Hans - Joachim Schreiner - President of the Board Sitech Sp. Ltd., Gerold Ennen - Director of Manufacturing Group Sitech, Adam Piszczek - Director of the Department Polkowice, Petra Kretschmer - Director of the Department of Wolfsburg, Mirosław Czajkowski - Head of the changes and bidding procedure and Robert Bachorskiego - Specialist for legal and standardization of processes in the Department of Polkowice.
During the meeting were discussed issues relating to Sitech activity in Legnica Special Economic Zone as well as the development of strategic directions and objectives of the Group Sitech and its place in the automobile industry in the next few years.
President of Group Sitech sees an opportunity for their implementation through cooperation with the Board of LSEZ and local government.
Mrs. Petra Kretschmer - Director of Wolfsburg took guests round the plant in Wolfsburg to demonstrate activity of Sitech GmbH. Visitors had the opportunity to see the practical techniques of manufacture seats for VW car, noticed a modern logistics and production processes based on the solutions and the values of the Volkswagen Group.
Sitech is present in the sub-Polkowice Legnica Special Economic Zone since 1998. Since then the company has incurred capital expenditures of close to 705 million PLN. The facility operates more than 1,400 people.
Sitech Polkowice continued to expand rapidly. Competition in the automotive industry and especially the dynamic development of the desire to Volkswagen to follow the "Mach 18 plus determine and provide direction for these activities at the very good cooperation with the Board LSEZ can only end in success.
