Sitech rozpoczyna kooperację z Fisher Dynamics
American company specializing in production of car seats mechanisms starts production on the Sitech ltd site.
Polkowice/ Wolfsburg, August 25th 2010 - last Tuesday, on the site of Sitech ltd factory in Polkowice the combined production with Fisher Dynamics has begun. American specialist in the field of car seat components manufacturing will start the Volkswagen Polo rear backrest locks production. It is the first time a collaborative partner has started their own production site within the Sitech factory. This is also the first Fisher Dynamics production line in Europe.
Together with the foreman of Polkowice city Mr.Marek Tramś, the mayor or Polkowice Wiesław Wabik and the president of Legnica Special Economic Zone Mr. Adam Grabowiecki Ph.D., the chairman of Sitech ltd, Mr. Hans-Joachim Schreiner has conducted a ceremonial opening of the production line with the Board of Fisher Dynamics, Mr. Alfred Fisher, Mr. Michael Fisher and Mr. Bill Clark.
During the ceremony Mr. Hans-Joachim Schreiner said:"I believe that the cooperation with our new business partner, Fisher Dynamics, will develop successfully and benefit well. Due to this project, many new working places will be created in the region of Polkowice city. We plan to include even more car seats components in our portfolio in the future."
Sitech provides Fisher Dynamics with components used to manufacture rear backrests locks. Next, they are fit into the technically complete locks. This cooperation helps to shorten the logistic ways.
Fisher Dynamics, a family business with factories placed in USA, Mexico and China produces 28 million systems and mechanisms for automotive branch yearly, with the employment rate of 1700 workers.
Sitech is a 100% daughter company of Volkswagen AG with factories placed in Germany, Poland and China. The main tasks of Sitech ltd are development and production of car seats for Volkswagen consortium. With the employment rate of about 1500 workers, Sitech ltd produces metal structures of car seats for Polo, Fabia, Golf, Octavia, Passat, T5, Tuareg and for Porsche Cayenne. Overall, there are more than 4000 workers employed in Sitech factories.
