Budowa najnowocześniejszego centrum logistycznego NG2 S.A.

“The fast development of CCC, BOTI, QUAZI chains has brought about solutions promoting an increased supply of foot-wear. The immediate dispatch without restraints has become the priority for NG2 Group. The sorting system constituted the result of logistic analysis managed in 2008. The design mentioned above, created by Vanderlande Industries B.V., was integrated with hitherto existing IT system. Vanderlande Industries B.V. is an international company, famed especially for its sorting and distributing logistic system, which are used in many branches of industry, for example in : reloading as well as air terminals; cross-docking systems; logistic and distributing systems; sorting plant; etc.

Owing to the sorting system, which has become the heart of the logistic system, it is possible to serve a dispatch including 1300 locations. The storage connector and a conveyor belt were built in order to connect two warehouses, as well to raise the standard of efficiency.

The dispatch is carried on in originally and fully packed cardboard boxes, containing all sizes of shoes. At first, the packages guiding by a high performance sorter, are automatically scanned and a waybill is stuck onto them. Then, the boxes pass on directly to the cars by means of the telescopic conveyors. However, some of them are unpacked and the singular cardboard boxes (containing single sizes of shoes) are transported to the chutes destined for the particular shops. After sorting, the singular packages with shoes are packed into the large boxes and guided to the shipping sorter, in the same way like the packages with all sizes of shoes. The mechanization process supports the future development and gives some basis for further logistic progress. It also allows to optimize a storage space.

However, the most tangible benefits are a reduction of costs per one pair of shoes and an increase in productivity. Moreover, a time necessary to prepare a dispatch was limited and a number of mistakes was minimized.

In 2011, the existing sorting plant will be connected with a new Logistic Center NG2, situated in Polkowice Subzone of LSEZ. It will become a part of fully automatized logistic mechanism. Forty per cent of the total cost of this project is co-financed by ERDF (The European Regional Development Fund) and by an earmarked subsidy called Measure 4.4 New investment of a high innovation potential of the Operational Programme Innovative Economy.
