General information:

The Legnica Special Economic Zone provides entrepreneurs with public aid in the form of exemption from income tax as well as with high-quality investment area, prepared for business activity, intended for industrial and service buildings, equipped with technical infrastructure and located in attractive surroundings.

The Legnica Zone offers not only industrial investments and new jobs. It also serves the improvement of competitiveness, transfer of technology and know-how as well as development of cooperation in the region covered by the zone.

LSEZ was formed by virtue of the Ordinance of the Council of Ministers of April 15th, 1997 (Journal of Laws of 1997 No. 153, item 1003). Its aim was to counteract unemployment through creating new jobs and to provide an alternative for the monoculture of copper industry.

Its managing body is Legnicka Specjalna Strefa Ekonomiczna S.A., whose main stockholders are the State Treasury and local government units. The team is composed of carefully selected professionals.

LSEZ is situated in the south-western part of Poland, in the centre of the Lower Silesia Province. In total, it has the area of 457.49 hectares divided into 11 subzones, which gives investors the possibility to choose the most convenient location.

The zone is situated in the vicinity of international routes leading from the east to the west, such as A4 and A18 motorways, and from the north to the south - European route E65 and planned expressway S3. Its additional advantage is the vicinity of the border with Germany and the Czech Republic as well as the proximity of the international airport in Wrocław and the river ports in Głogów and Wrocław.
